Tips for Scrapbookers and Digital Scrapbookers

The only thing I can really think of that has helped me keep up with my scrapbooking paperwise for the past 2 years is to open up a blogger account at www.blogger.com to keep up with my fast paced world. I take photos on a daily basis so each night I would faithfully post my best photos and journal about the day. Sometimes I would even include a quote or a poem that I found that would go great for that day. When it was finally time to scrapbook those photos I would just go to my blog on that day and get all my journaling and it helps to keep track of all my photos as well.

Since the end of August I have gone digital. Yes, my DH was right. Digital is the way to go. He tried to switch me a while back to digital but I just refused. I guess I can be stubborn too. I have been trying to do the digital pages instead of just posting the journaling and photos, however, if I do get behind which has happened I would again just post my photos and the journaling just to save on time.

Now that I am digital you may want to know how I store all my files. Well, this is a bit of a challenge because I have been collecting way too many files in 2 months. Some freebies from other sights and some which I have purchased and earned by posting pages. The website which I frequent and love their products is digitalscrapbookplace (DSP). Since I have purchased way too many kits from that sight I now have a folder just for DSP and within that folder I have all the designer names and when I purchase a kit from the store or receive a kit as a posting bonus I immediately put it in the designers folder. I also try to print out a contact sheet as I'm saving it so I have a hard copy to look at when I finally get down to using the kit. I store these contact sheets in a looseleaf book under category such as flowers, word art, children, holiday, seasons etc.

As for storing other kits I received as freebies I have been trying to store them by designer name this way I can give proper credit when I use the kits.

Favorite Items of Clothing

My favorites would have to be anything that is comfortable because I am chasing triplets around the house. I tend to wear sweat suits from New York and Company because they are comfortable. Normally I am cold all the time so when I purchase their sweat suits I get the matching jackets as well.

My favorite shoes are these slip on sneakers that I purchased when I was pregnant over 2 years ago. My mom hates them as they are falling apart. I do need to get a new pair. They are just so fast to put on where I don't have to bend down and tie them each time I am trying to get out of the house. Fast and easy is the key here especially if I want to get out of the house with 3 little ones on time.

Favorite Day of the Week

I would have to say my favorite day of the week used to be Wednesday but now it's Fridays. Why you may be all thinking? Well, that's the day my mom usually comes to visit. Since I don't have any break from the children at all I so look forward to when she comes to give me a little bit of a break from my hectic routine. It's like the day when I can acutally breath better and can sit down and relax a bit or run out and do errands which I couldn't do when she wasn' t around. I am so thankful to have a mom who wants to spend time with the triplets and help me out. Thank you mom if you are reading this.

How I feel about TV

I love watching tv when I have time that is. We have direct tv and TIVO. I love my tivo because I can tape the shows I'd like to watch and watch them when I have the free time to do so. Also I can fast forward the commercials. Now basically I only have time to watch my soap opera Days Of Our Lives and occasionally a night time show such as ER, Nip Tuck, Desparate Housewives and I just started to watch Heros. I now have a laptop so I can do my digital scrapbooking sitting in front of the tv.

During the day TIVO tapes sesame street, barney and signing times for the kids. I even did a search last night to tape some halloween shows for the kids so in the next few days we will be surprised taping of "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and some other shows for the kids to watch. I will again do a search during thanksgiving time and hopefully there will be some other types shows for them.

Inherited Traits

What do you see in yourself that has come from your ancestors? If you have children, what have you handed down?

I can honestly say I am definately not like my mom. She likes to garden. I do not have a green thumb at all. I can't keep a plant alive for the life of me nor do I like to get my hands dirty from dirt. She also likes to clean. Cleaning is the last thing I'd like to do. I clean only when I absolutely have to. My mom is just a fanatic when it comes to cleaning. She also likes to talk to strangers and is very outgoing. I am such a loaner and don't like to talk to anyone especially strangers. I do not make friends easily where my mom can easily make tons of friends.

I think I inherited my ability to save money from my dad. He taught me how to use coupons at an early age. We used to go shopping together often when I was little. I am always looking for sales of some sort and clipping out coupons to save money. I have also inherited my calmness from my dad. My dad is a very calm quite person and never yells and hardly ever gets angry. I also inherited my blue eyes from my dad.

I am creative and love all types of crafts. The only person in my family who enjoys crafts or is creative would be my grandmother. She crochets and knits. I know how to crochet and also knit but that is not what I enjoy doing. I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, rubber stamping and card making.

Now to my children. My son Justin inherited my blue eyes. He definately is from my side of the family. More and more I see my dad in my son. My daughter Naomi is more and more like me. I see her picking up books and trying to read them. I think she will be very good in school when she is older. She did, however, inherit her daddy's brown eyes. My daughter Victoria is a lot like her daddy. She is very stubborn and has to have her way. She has his brown eyes and her color hair is just like his. When I look at her I definately see my husband.

What Famous Work of Art Are You?

A New Holiday

If I could create a new holiday it would be called MOMMY SPA DAY. Okay now you know I'm a bit stressed out. I just wish I could have a vacation or a day off. I mean when you work and get paid for it you are at least entitled to a vacation and some sick days. Some jobs even give you 2 personal days that you could use for whatever you choose. When you are a MOM you just do not get any time off and when you do get time off when mom comes to visit you are doing things with the children or running errands. Yes, I do get to go out with my friends after the kids go to sleep but that really is not time off. I would really like to go on a spa day or weekend. Get a massage, facial, hair cut, manicure, the works, dinner, ability to sleep late. A weekend to relax. No diapers to change, no noise to listen to, a relaxing weekend away from the kids. If any of my family members especially my husband (which I doubt) are reading this hope you take this as a hint what to get me for the holidays.

If I Could Live

If you could live in any era of history, what would it be, and why?

I don't think I would want to live in the past. There would be no computers, internet, ipods, cell phones, dishwashers, etc. etc. I think we have it a bit easier today with all this added technology. However, the violence is still around.

I wish there was peace in the world. It's a bit scary to know that I am raising my children in a world where there are crazy people lurking the earth. I hardly ever watch TV let alone the news because the kids have taken over the TV or we just don't have it on but just like last week I had it on in the background and could not believe what I heard on the news. 10 little girls being shot in school. Killing 5 instantly. What is this world coming to? It's not even safe to send your children to school.

Okay, I know that now is far better than the 1940's (World War 2). Imagine waking up one day to be hauled off into trains and then put through a gas chamber just because of your religious beliefs. This really upsets me to know that people in my grandparents age group would actually do this to children and adults. What really is baffling to me is when I hear someone say that the holocaust never happened! There is real live footage and people who actually survived this nightmare to tell their story. About 3 years ago I did a walkathan to raise money to help Israel and while I stopped to sit on the bench while my husband and in-laws continued their walk I happened to talk to a survivor. I remember her telling me that her entire family was killed in the concentration camp. When this happened she was only 8 years old.

To this day, I occasionally have nightmares about the holocaust. Maybe it was because I studied it in high school and then as an adult I again studied it reading and watching movies about what happened. It just scares me to death that this did happen and could possibly happen again. Just recently when getting on the hayride at the farm with my family and children those haunting thoughts came to my mind of those people getting on those trains. It really upsets me that those people who were murdered could have been any one of my husband's family members and part of my children's heritage.

How I Met My Closest Friend

Thirty-one years ago I was starting school for the first time (kindergarten). Yes, that's right, my closest friend was in my kindergarten class. Her name is Debbie. Through the years my mom and her mom also became very close friends. In 1975, she lived a short distance from my childhood house. We would walk to each others houses that is how close we lived. Unfortunately, when we were in first grade she moved to another state. Even though we were in separate states we still remained in contact with each other. We would spend the entire summers together. As teenagers we even attended church sleep away camp together. Now as adults, we live only 30 minutes away and still keep in touch at least once a week. She is more like a sister. She has always been there for me. Right after the triplets were born she came to visit me in the hospital. I was very ill after the c-section and she stayed to help. She even helped me take a shower which my husband was too skirmish to help. I am very thankful for her friendship.

If I was back in school

If I was back in school and had a choice to join any after school activity it would definately be the girl scouts again. I really enjoyed being a girl scout when I was little. I think I liked the arts and crafts part of it the most. I also liked to earn badges. I hope when my children get older they too get involved in the girl scouts and even the boy scouts. Maybe once the kids get older I can get involved in this again maybe even be a leader for the troup or maybe even a helper.

What I'd Like to Improve

This was a bit of a challenge. I had taken the perfect photo for this today. The journaling is a letter to my children that reads:

Dear Victoria, Justin and Naomi,
Now that you are two I am finding myself yelling at you. There are times I think I am losing my mind. I so do not want to fight with you guys. I want to be your mom and also enjoy being with you. I am sorry for yelling and I will do my best to change.. I would also like to spend more quality time with you guys so that is why I have joined the MOPs group and also the MOMs club. I hope by doing so I can be a better mom to you. This photo was taken today at the library at music time. It was a MOMs club activity. We had a great time together and I hope we can spend more quality time in the future. Love Mommy

My Car

I was leasing a silver Subaru Forester back in 2004. The lease was ending on the Subaru at the perfect time because we just found out that we were expecting triplets at that time. So while I was on bedrest the Subaru was traded in for the Nissan Quest.

I drive a gold Nissan Quest now with the triplets. The girls sit in the 2nd row and my son sits in the very back row in the center. The inside of the car right now is very dirty. It needs to be vaccummed and wiped from french fries, cookies, spilt milk or whatever else the kids have dropped along our travels. Luckily we got leather seats so it can be wiped up very easily.

This is the only car we can use with the triplets right now. My husband has a Honda Accord but it just doesn't fit our entire family.

Next year our lease is up on the Quest. We haven't yet decided if we will keep it or trade it in for something else. There really isn't much we can get for a family of 5 especially since we need to accomodate 3 car seats. The miles on the Quest are very low since in the first 2 years I haven't been traveling very far with the kids except for doctor visits or to my parents or DH's parents houses. It was just way too much work getting around by myself so we stayed home. We are now just starting to venture out and do different things with them.

TV Show Most Watched

I have been watching Days of Our Lives since I was a teenager. Even my best friend and I would watch it together after school when it was taped on the VCR. As I got older and went to work my VHS machine broke and I stopped watching it. But once I got TIVO it is now on the top of the list of things that it tapes every day. I usually watch it when I'm eating lunch or after the kids go to bed. It's really the only thing I faithfully watch every day. I like to watch it on TIVO so I can fast forward the commercials and on occasion I have rewound it because I missed something. My best friend still watches it from time to time and we sometimes call each other regarding the show. I really don't know why I have been watching for so long. Maybe it's just the fact of the ridiculous story lines that keeps me intrigued to keep watching. I mean how many times can a person be announced dead to come back to life again. Or how one person can come back as another person. This just doesn't happen in real life.

Procrastinate and Why?

My excuse for procrastinating is I'm always tired. I hate to clean. I would much rather play with the triplets then pick up their toys or clean up the floor after meal times or do the dishes or laundry that piles up or prepare dinner or .............. The list is never ending. I try to put off cleaning until it must be done.

By the time my day is over I'm exhausted and all I want to do is have me time. Time to scrapbook.

Clutter

Clutter is a major issue in our house. We have a tendency to collect collect collect. The triplets have way too many toys and they seem to be scattered all over my house. The worst is the ones which come with many many pieces. I'm constantly picking up after them. They are now just starting to learn how to clean up so they are starting to help out.

My garage where we used to be able to fit both our cars into now only one fits. It's filled with baby stuff that we don't use any more such as a triplet stroller which we only used when they were infants. It so needs a decluttering so we can get the other car back into it.

The laundry room seems to collect a lot of stuff to. This is where we store the recyclable before they are put into the garage for trash day which, of course, we have been missing recycle day on occasion and when this happens the garage is really jam packed with trash.

My closets are jam packed too with stuff. If you open them up you need to be careful nothing falls out and hits you on the head. My mom complains about this each time she comes around which is once a week.

I just feel guilty about getting rid of anything. Or the question comes to mind what if I really need that item and then I have to purchase it again. I've been trying to get better at letting stuff go though as it's starting to drive me crazy.

I've tried on numerous occasions to declutter like flylady suggests but I always crash and burn each time I try. I guess it's just overwhelming all the stuff I have to do each day with the triplets that adding one extra thing to do or more really tires me out.

If I Could Have Chosen My Career Differently

Let me first tell you a story of my path right after I graduated from high school. I didn't want to go to a 4 year college. I just wanted to learn something quick and start working. I was just sick of school. So when a recruiter came to the school to demonstrate Court Reporting my senior year and said it was a 2 year school I wound up going for that. Well, mind you they said it was 2 years. It took me 5 years! Yes, you read that correctly. I studied for 5 years straight including summers. I did graduate. However, I took the state exams 4 times and failed. I also started out recruiting in NY. One assignment was to go to a Brooklyn or was it NYC man my mind is fried. Anyway, it turned out that I wasn't assigned to Staten Island where I lived but they sent me to the 5 bouroughs of NY. One day I got lost and got on a train going the wrong way and I wound up crying and my boyfriend (now my husband) had to come and find me. That was the day I told everyone that this court reporting was not for me.

After that time, my mother-in-law helped me find a job in NYC as a legal secretary since I already had the knowledge of law. I did that for 6 years I think. Then when we moved I had to find a job closer to my area as the commuting to the city was getting to me. I then did administrative secretary work and then wound up in the accounting department working in accounts payable which I really enjoyed. Now, of course, while the triplets are here I am a SAHM.

If I could go back to when I graduated I would definately go to a college instead of a trade school. I have always dreamed of being a teacher so that is probably what I would have been today if I had chosen that.

Can You Relate?

I received this from one of my triplet moms. The author is unknown. The shopping and the putting things in a safe place I can certainly relate to. This has happened to me often.

My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funnyBut,
to me, that is no joke

For when I'm "here" I'm wondering
If I really should be "there"And,
when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Oft times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain!
A zero, is my score.

At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say "Hi" and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, "who was that?"

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.
CAN YOU RELATE ? ? ?

Please send this to everyone you know because
I DON'T REMEMBER WHO I SENT THIS TO ! !

Camping in 1982 and 1983

Journaling reads:
I went to sleep away church summer camp with my best friend Debbie for 2 or 3 years when I was a teenager. I don’t remember much about the camp except for some songs that I still can sing. The stairs there lead down to the church area that was outside.

Real Easy Recipe only 4 Ingredients

Okay my life is really hectic now that the triplets eat real food. I think it was a lot easier when they were on baby food because all I had to do was open a jar. Now, it's always a challenge at meal times what to give them and also feed me and my husband too. Well, I went to the library - speaking of the library - I must go renew some books that are due tomorrow. Will do that next. Anyway, while at the library I stumbled upon a book called "The Four Ingredient Cookbooks" by Linda Coffee and Emily Cale. This week I have made a number of the recipes from that book. Here is one which I made tonight for dinner. Now, mind you my husband won't eat any mushrooms yet he said this meal was very good. Of course, I didn't tell him that there was mushrooms in it. He's not allergic he just doesn't eat them. Enjoy.

Tater Tot Casserole
1. 2 pounds extra lean ground beef
2. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
3. 1 cup grated cheedar cheese
4. 1 package (2 lbs) frozen tater tots

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pat ground beef in bottom of greased 13x9x2 pan. Spread soup over meat and cover with grated cheese. Top with tater tots. Bake covered 45 minutes and uncovered 15 minutes. Serves 8-10

Quote for the day

You will never find time for anything. If you want the time, you must make it.
- Charles Buxton

This is so true. Lately, I've been asked by many people how do you have so much time to scrapbook. Unfortunately, since my husband works many many hours I had to find a hobby to keep myself busy otherwise I would become depressed and feel lonely. Some people like to clean and use that as their escape from their problems. Well, I'm no Martha Stewart. I'd rather scrapbook then clean. I find cleaning to be a job where scrapbooking is fun and creative. I guess it's a form of therapy for me. My day ends at 9:30 every night after cleaning up the kitchen. That is when I do my scrapbooking. Most nights I stay up really late sometimes even to 2 or 3 am. So yes, I am making a sacrifice but it's well worth it.

My Sister My Friend

I have only one sister. Her name is Cynthia but everyone calls her Cindy. Personally I like Cynthia better mainly because I was the one who helped pick out her name. She is 6 years younger than me. When we were little we would fight often because she always wanted to do what I was doing and or hang out with my friends. I will always remember that one time when we were on a camping trip with our parents my sister pierced me with a fork in the arm and another time when I locked her out of the house and she punched in the window shattering glass all over the kitchen floor. Yes, we were kind of violent when we were little.

Now, that we are older, married and have children of our own we are getting closer. She will always be my sister but now she is also my friend.

My Activities

Let go and write whatever!!! But only for five minutes. After that put your pen, errrr, your fingers down and don't go back to fix anything!

I decided I needed to do more with the children as they are now 2 years old and starting to whine a lot while we are trapped in the house. I don't take them out unless we have to go food shopping or to visit my parents or grandparents. Sometimes I take them for walks around the block or into our yard where we have it fenced in and the swing set for them to play but they only want to swing and it is tiring so we only do that for a short period of time. I think they are just getting bored of being inside. So I have been searching for things for me to take them to. Of course, everything I have found was more mommy and me based which we can't physically do since there is only one Mommy and I am outnumbered.

I found a MOPs group (Mothers of Preschoolers) which is a Christian group that meets 2 times a month and while the mother's meet in one room where they have a lesson and then some craft the kids are in a day care setting. We attended our first meeting this month and the kids had a blast. Victoria was a bit scared and cried when Mommy left the room but besides that they enjoyed playing with the other children.

I also found a MOMs group which I also attended a meeting. This group is a bit different then the MOPs since they don't have baby sitting service and the children attend the meeting with you so it is a bit chaotic but this group makes play dates and activities outside the house where the kids can have fun. We even attended an activity. They had hayrides and play area that we went to. Of course, I only had 2 children for this play date and meeting so it was manageable. I'm hoping that we can attend more outings and get more involved.

I also found swim lessons which we will try this month. We already have an appointment set up for this.

Karate was another trial lesson I found for them but haven't yet set up an appointment. So I am keeping busy and now involving the kids too. I think they are having a lot of fun.

What Do I Hear?

What can you hear right now, right where you're sitting? Unfortunately, I am sitting in the bathroom on the toilet (yes, my only time alone from the kids). It's really early 8 am I hear the faint noise of the fan that we run while we are sleeping. It is a continuing humming type noise. Faintly I can hear my husband breathing while he sleeps peacefully in our bed. In the distance I now I hear my daughter the one with the loud voice screaming. She is in her crib. I guess it is time for them to wake up and start their day. Time for Mommy to start her day too.

If I Could Redecorate Any Room

Kaleidoscope by Stacey Jewell Stahl
DSP JpysGrl Font - Oct Digital Club

Journaling reads:
IF I COULD REDECORATE ANY ROOM
If I had the money and could redecorate one room in my house it would be the kitchen. First, I would want the designer to redesign the separation wall of my kitchen and family room. I would make it into a counter where we could sit and watch tv. This would be more functional and I would get rid of my kitchen table because that would replace our table. Underneath would be shelving to hold books. Maybe even have shelves on the family side so the kids could store their books. Second, I would have tile put on my kitchen walls especially behind my stove and sink to catch all the splashes and splatters from cooking and washing. Third, I would add another dishwasher. Maybe get rid of a cabinet and replace it with another dishwasher. I use my dishwasher for everything. If I purchase something new I definately make sure it's dishwasher safe before purchasing it. The only thing that is not dishwasher safe is my pots and pans from pampered chef. Everything else goes into that machine and gets run once or twice a day. Fourth, My kitchen desk would be redesigned so the draws would be normal size file draws. Right now they are narrow and can't fit hardly anything in them. Fifth, the walls would be painted instead of that painters white that comes with new houses. Sixth, I would change the white countertops because it is so hard to keep them clean. It shows everything. Seventh, the doors to my yard would be a double door that opens. Right now we have french doors but one side is a dummy door and only one door opens up to the yard. I would also put sliding doors there.

Our Wedding Song

SANTA ESMERALD » You're My Everything

You're my everything
The sun that shines above you
Makes the bluebirds sing
The stars that twinkle way up in the sky
Tell me I'm in love
When I kiss your lips
I feel the rolling thunder to my finger tips
And all the while my head is in a spin
Deep within, I'm in love
You're my everything
And nothing really matters but the love you bring
You're my everything
To see you in the morning with those big brown eyes
You're my everything
Forever and a day I'm need you close to me
You're my everything
You never have to worry, never fear, for I am near
For my everything
I live up on the land and see the sky above
I swim within her ocean sweet and warm
There's no storm, my love
You're my everything no nothing really matters
But the love you bring
You're my everything
To see you in the morning with those big brown eyes,
You're my everything
Forever and a day I'm need you close to near
You're my everything
You never have to worry, never fear, for I am near
When I hold you tight
There's nothing that can harm you in the lonely night
I'll come to you and keep you save and warm
Yet so strong, my love
When I kiss you lips
I feel the rolling thunder to my fingertips
And all the while my head is in a spin
Deep within
I'm in love

RELEASE

Your prompt is "release". Take that word however you like, and write.

Breathe in...... Breathe out......

The lease to our car ended in August. Because the car had low mileage we decided to purchase the car which we took out a loan to do so. This was done in August. We received the title in the mail and some other paperwork which needed to be brought to Motor Vehicles to be registered. I've been telling my husband he needs to go as I can't go with the triplets. Anyway, 2 months have passed and he still has not gone to Motor Vehicles. Now, for 5 days I have been searching and searching for that paper work that we received from the leasing company. I can't remember where I have placed it. We get a letter the other day from the leasing company regarding our title and, of course, this triggers me to remember that he still needs to go to motor vehicles. Now where in the world did the paper work go?

I searched the bill draw, I searched the laundry room, and the mail that's sitting on the counter top (I sure hope I didn't throw it away with all the other crap we receive day after day). Why do we get so much junk mail? Anyway nothing was found. I thought maybe I gave it to him and he took it into his office so I ask him to search his office. He looks and finds nothing.

Okay, Laura, Breathe in..... Breathe out...... Remember what you did with the envelope. I know what it looks like yet I can't remember where I put it. This has been happening a lot lately (could it be mommy brain or am I just losing my memory?)

For some reason this morning I decided to look in the paid bills and guess what I found? I can't believe I filed it away when it should have been placed in the open bill draw. Now, finally I can sleep tonight knowing I at least found the paper work so he can go to motor vehicles. We will probably have to pay a fine because we are late but at least my part is done I found the papers.

I can now breathe............................................................

Costumes

It took me the entire month of Sept to choose the costumes for the triplets for Halloween. My husband thought I was crazy searching in Sept but I tell you by the time I went to purchase their costumes most things were sold out or they didn't have 2 or 3 costumes the same or matching. Plus I didn't want to spend $30+ for each costume. Why are they so expensive for a costume which you will only wear once? Now, if I had only one child then I'd get the best costume but since I have to get 3 costumes I searched the internet for the best prices. Of course, I could have searched on ebay for used costumes which I did last year but I just didn't want to go through the stress of not having them match and bidding and not winning.

The choices I had in my mind were:

  • 3 little pigs - Costumes were over priced. $35 or more for each one plus my mom kept saying she didn't want her grandchildren to look like pigs.

  • Cowboys and Indians - My niece is going to be an indian so I figured why not dress them up like cowboys and cowgirls. But once I looked at the prices of the costumes I said forget it. Like the hats were not included so not only was the costume like $25 but then you had to get the hat which was like $15 or more. So that was out.

  • Wizard of Oz them - I already have dorothy so I figured I'd have the children match me but I couldn't find a tin man that was in a reasonable price range. The lion was an okay price and the scarecrow was also priced okay but why in the world would the tin man costume be over $40 is beyond me! So that theme was out.

  • Pirates - I thought the pirate theme would have been very cute but I couldn't find the sizes for the girls and at this time the swords are just too dangerous so that was crossed off my list.

  • Monkeys - I almost got the monkeys costumes at old navy but by the time I finally decided to get their costumes they didn't have 3 left in toddler size.

  • Devil & 2 angels - it was a cute idea but since we aren't supposed to believe in the devil I ruled that one out.

Okay now you are probably wondering what in the world did she pick? I wound up getting all 3 costumes for $50. Yes, you heard me 3 costumes for $50 at www.costumecraze.com. My son is going to be a football player and my girls are going to be cheerleaders. Justin's costume is light blue and the girls costumes are in pink and white. I'm trying to get them to say the cheer, "Two, Four, Six, Eight, Who do you appreciate, JUSTIN, JUSTIN, JUSTIN." So I've been saying it to the girls every day trying to get them to repeat it for Halloween. So far they only say the Justin part. Hey, I have about a month to work on it.

By the way I got my costumes today and you will not believe it but the pompoms in one of the girls costumes is missing. So, of course, I was on the phone with costumecraze this morning trying to get a replacement. It never fails. Every time I order something it turns up wrong. I just have bad luck. Luckily they will be sending me out a replacement.

I've Been Tagged!

Here are 5 weird/odd things about me:

1. I don't like any type of bug. I always scream and ask my DH to get them. As for spiders I am superstitious and won't kill them because I feel it is bad luck.

2. I giggle a lot. Most of the time I don't realize I am giggling. My husband always points it out though. It can be embarrassing especially during love making.

3. I hide candy around the house for those times when I have cravings.

4. I have this obsession with my hobby. Whenever I start a hobby I always have to go gungho into it and get everything there is for that hobby. I am such a collector.

5. I so hate thong underwears. I've tried so hard to wear them for my husband but they are so uncomfortable. I have tried all different brands with no luck. Who in the world made those thong underwears? It so had to be a man.

Unfortunately, I don't know 5 people who blog to tag so if you are reading this from my blog would you be so kind to post your 5 weird/odd things about yourself on your blog and tag 5 people if you know them. Thanks.

What gift do you wish you could give (if reality was not a factor) to the most important person in your life?

I wish I could give my husband the gift of time and money. He works 24/7 trying to support our family and make it in this business world. Maybe if we could win the lottery (but, of course, you need to play for that to even be a chance to win which we don't play) or if his business could take off we'd be financially set and he can be there for our children. Right now he hardly has time to be with them and they are growing so quickly. Most days he sees them for like 5 minutes in the day. Victoria who is very attached to her daddy cries whenever he leaves the room. It's so sad that she's always asking for her daddy. I just wish I could give him some time off from his job and we can be more of a family. The children so need their daddy and I so need a break from them.

What Famous Person Would I like to Meet

I would like to meet everyone on

I've been watching the show since I was a teenager. Well, there was a time that I missed it because I went back to work but once I got my tivo I now never miss a show. If I only was able to pick one actor from the show it would have to be Peter Reckell (Bo Brady).
He is hot!!!!!! He always did remind me of my husband. And, of course, if I could only meet one actress it would be Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady). When I was a teenager I would collect all their photos and put them into a book. I also taped their love story. As a matter of fact, I probably have a VHS tape of them like 20 years ago in my basement but, of course, we have no VHS player anymore since DVD's now took over. I think at the time I also taped Patch and Kayla's love story and maybe even Jennifer and Frankie. I think I had separate tapes for each one. I was really a die hard fan back then and now I just watch it faithfully every day. It's my stress reliever from the kids.

I'll Sleep Well Tonight Because......

my children keep me very active. We may go to my grandmother's house if I can get up out of bed and get ready. It's Sunday and 8:40 am already. I know my days are getting very pushed out because I wind up staying up really late each night. The problem is I'm exhausted. We did a lot this week. We attended a MOPs meeting, went to BJs to get diapers and lunch, Build a Bear and dinner, went to the library to return books and get new ones, and Ryan's Birthday. I just don't know if I have the energy to go to my grandmothers. It's an hour ride there and an hour back. I just want to relax but I feel bad that my grandmother can't see the kids because no one wants to drive her here. So I will probably wind up going. She's having chicken with stuffing for dinner today. They eat dinner at 2 on Sundays which is a bit early and out of our schedule but it saves me a day from cooking.

We also have a lot planned this week as well:

Monday - Justin and Victoria received speech therapy
Tuesday - There is a Mother's Group meeting at the park. This is another type group like MOPs but not a religious one and the kids go to these meetings. They set up play groups for the kids. It's a yearly fee to join so don't know if we will join or not. We really need to make some friends and some play dates so we are going to check it out.
Wed - I'm not sure what's going on this day. I hope it's a freebie. Oh no probably not! It's my mom's birthday. Don't know if we are doing anything or not.
Thurs - The kids go for their 2 year check up. Flu shots. Not looking forward to that. And Naomi has her first speech therapy.
Friday - The cats have a vet appointment.
Saturday - We have a 1 year old birthday party to attend. It's a friend of my husband's job who is having the party. I never met her. My husband said he wanted to attend (I doubt it though because he never goes anywhere with me and the kids).
Sunday - We are meeting my sister-in-law at a farm to do pumpkin picking. We go every year and yes my husband is going to this.

After writing all this I'm now more exhausted then when I was when I woke up. Maybe we will stay home today so I can get a nap when they nap later in the day.
