Chairty Kit for Pixiemama Designs

I have an awesome Charity Collaboration kit to show you. Tish (Pixiemama Designs) lost her house and all her families possessions in a house fire several weeks ago. The designers at SDD and many other wonderful designers from around the digi community all pitched in to create this awesome kit, with 100% of the proceeds going to Tish and her family. This kit is so stuffed, I couldn't even mention everything that is in it. I contributed some quick pages and some brag book pages as well.

The Bundle can be found at Scrappity Doo-Dah here.

The Kit can be found here.

Sneak Peek - Gabs-Art

Designer in Need - Charity Collab

I am so sad for Tish, she lost her kitty, then lost her dog and her entire house. This tragedy that happened to her is unbelievable.

On November 5, Leticia of Pixiemama Designs house was burned down. Her entire house and all of her stuff. Luckily, she and her just turned 4-yr-old son and husband were visiting family while their house burned to the ground. It is believed that this was caused by a problem with the furnace. If Tish, her son, and her husband had been home, they likely would not have made it out of the home. I am so so so glad that they are okay. But, the sad part, they lost their dog. Their cats ran away, but the dog didnt. Tish recently lost her cat to a rare disease was really heart-broken.

Prior to all of this she had set up a charity kit to raise money for the SPCA. It is called Goodbye is not Forever. I had the honor of working with her kit. I made 2 pages of my cats who have passed away.

The kit and matching glitters are selling for $3.50 each, and $2 of the proceeds of each sale will be donated to the SPCA International, to help animals get out of abusive situations or find homes that they desperately need. The kit includes 12 papers and over 30 elements, and is dedicated to her loving little Otis.

Scrappity-Doo-Dah is in the process of collecting kits to make a mega collab called Country Christmas where all the proceeds will go to Tish and her family to help them replace some of what they have lost. If you are a designer and you are interested in participating in this charity collaboration please contact Tiffany at tiffany at inspiredbydominic dot com or contact Yvonne, Heather Manning at SDD.

I have seen the kits as they have come in and they are beautiful. I am currently making quick pages and brag book pages to contribute to the collab. It will be released shortly. I will post when it is released to point you in the direction where you can purchase it.

If you want to do something to help and you are not a designer please consider purchasing one of Tish’s many fabulous items in her store at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. I assure you that you will get a fantastic product and you will also be helping out a family in need.

Happy Scrapping to all of you!

It has been a joy to share these past years with you
and for Letting us help you to always remember!
We appreciate you being part of our community.
Thank You!

It is with a very sad heart that I have to announce to you that Deco-Pages will be closing. Our final day will be Nov. 11th.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my Design Team, Creative Team, Sunshine Team, Advertising and Newsletter Teams for all your hard work! I have enjoyed working with all of you, and getting to know you has been the best part of owning this site. I have made so many wonderful friends here at Deco-Pages! We formed a creative family here at Deco-Pages, thank goodness that we can all stay in touch, and that this is not goodbye.

To our community members who have also been a big part of our creative family we will miss you, and hope that you will also stay in touch. We will share a list of blogs and websites with you where our team members can be found.

The closing of this site is a sign of the times. The cost of running this site is simply not supported by sales. I would like to take this opportunity to help the digital scrapbooking world in general by sharing a few thoughts with you all.

I know we all love freebies, but unfortunately, if there is an overabundance of supplies available for free, then sites where you can find quality products and interact with people who share your interest will eventually cease to exist.

When a person walks into a grocery store, they might get a sample of a new brand of cheese, or even a free box of crackers… if they buy 1, but that is the catch… the store has to make money, or it cannot stay open, and it’s inventory has to be kept up by paying it’s merchants and employees, or they will stop bringing products in or stop working, which again comes back to sales.

One person doesn’t have to spend a lot of money every time they go to a store, but they do have to purchase something on a regular basis, or the store will have to close it’s doors.

To those of you who have supported Deco-Pages on a regular basis, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I apologize to you for not being able to keep our site the rest, I urge you in the future to support the digital scrapbook sites you like to call your virtual home.

For all of our faithful club members that still have months they have paid for coming to them, we have issued gift certificates to cover what is still active and unused in your membership. If you did not receive your gift certificate, please contact me at

I wish you all the best, and hope to see you around the web…

Best Regards,
Deb Ammerman

Charity - SPCA International

From November 4th through the entire month of November, $2 from each and every sale of this kit (specially priced at $3.50) will be donated to SPCA International, to help them help animals. SPCA helps home and adopt animals, rescue and feed animals in need, bring home animals from Iraq who've befriended and helped deployed soldiers, and is on a mission to stop animal abuse. Donations will be made every week on Saturdays and proof of donation will be available on Pixiemama Designs blog.

Goodbye is not forever.

Here are two layouts I did of my kitties who are missed very much using the above kit.

CT - Scrappity Doo-Dah November

As many of you know my scrapbook home Deco-Pages is closing on Nov 11. I was on their CT for about 5 years. But there is a saying, "When one door closes a window opens". I was offered a position for site CT at Scrappity Doo-Dah. My first assignment is with Twin Mom Scraps. I chose the kit Thankful.

here is my layout

Another designer I am working with this month is Danos Pookie Designs. I chose this cute kit called Jungle Safari.

Luckily my niece was an elephant for Halloween so this is the page I made using the above kit.

Stay tuned for more pages during the month of November.
