In Loving Memory of Rocky

Last night my husband found my cat Rocky dead on the stairs. He chocked on a plastic bag that my kids had left around after snack time yesterday. He was only 11 years old. I will miss you my Pooh Bear Rocky and will see you again at the Rainbow Bridge. Halloween will never be the same again.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills and streams for them to run and play in together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and they are warm and comfortable.

Any animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just the way we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. They are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, someone who had to be left behind.

It is a carefree place, where they all run and play together. Then one day one of them suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

He has seen you, and when you and your pet finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands caress his beloved head, and you look once more into his trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together..... "

Finally had time to Scrap

It feels like forever since I sat down and scrapped a page. October has been so chaotic. Anyway, I did this one for a challenge. This is a photo of my husband 20 years ago when I first met him. Cannot believe we will be celebrating 20 years on November 2. It really feels like yesterday that I met him.

My Very First ATC Card

This is my very first ATC Card that I made. There was a challenge swap here and the theme was Halloween. Hope you like it.

Here's a little on ATCs (from Art in Your Pocket)
ATC stands for Artist Trading Card.
As their name indicates, ATC are collectables, a brilliant idea born of the older sports-themed trading cards. The one rule that makes an ATC derives from their origins: the dimensions of the ATC must be 2.5"x3.5", or 64x89mm.
An ATC mustn't be sold, only exchanged, as the whole essence of these tiny works of art is about artists meeting (by correspondence or online if need be) and exchanging their works, thus meeting many artists and getting exposed to many personal styles.
Second, on the back of each ATC the artist writes part or all of the following information: name, contact information & title of the ATC.
Being that our cards are digtal writing details on the back of our cards is a bit diificult So what are we to do? Well there are a couple of options.
1. Create an ATC 'back' - a card with your details that you include with your ATC.
2. Put your details on your ATC somewhere (I think this can make cards look a little messy thou)
3. Not bother

Karla's Chat

Trying out a new designer's designs can sometimes feel like a gamble. She wants to take the gamble out of trying her designs. She's giving away a huge element sampler at her chat Thursday night. She's picked some of her favorites from her element sets and kits.

Karla's hosting the chat in the chatroom at Tina Williams Designs . The chat begins at 8 PM Eastern time.
