My Hero, My Dad

When I was growing up my dad was my hero. He would manage to get me out of a predicament or would fix things to make them better. We were very close. Emotionally he was there for me as well. I remember one day when I was a teenager. On this particular day I came home hysterically crying because my boyfriend (now my husband) had broken up with me due to our different religions. My dad was there with open arms and a shoulder to cry on.

When I first got my driver's license I took my first long drive to NJ and my car stopped working in the middle of the highway. I was so scared. I called my dad and he immediately dropped everything and came to my rescue.

Even now that I am married my dad continues to be there for me when I need him. I would call him and he would come to the rescue. Just recently I was having troubles with the triplets escaping the play area. They would push down the gate and then escape to the 2nd floor. My days were really chaotic and I called my dad and he came and mounted the gate to the wall for me. He came to my rescue again.

These are just a few of the things I remember at the moment. There are still many more stories to tell. He was my hero when I was younger, however, even in my adult years he continues to be my hero.
