My Childhood Home - scrapped

I did this page for a contest on digitalscrapbookplace.com Unfortunately after I did it I was told it needed to be a one pager so below is my reentry. Personally I like the 2 pager better but at least I tried. The journaling is found in my blog a couple days down. The challenge was to use an element from 14 different page kits. Anyway here is my redo of the layout. Of course, the journaling had to be dropped off because of lack of space. This time I wrote a postcard to my children and this is what it says:
Dear children, This is the house that mommy grew up in. I'm sorry you will not be able to see it because it was knocked down and replaced with 3 houses. Mommy
