Summer Ends

The seasons come and go so very fast when all you do every day is take care of 3 little ones, a house and try your hardest to keep up with your hobby (scrapbooking). Okay, what did I learn this summer?

  1. Never wait till the last minute to purchase a pool for the kids. Once August comes there will be none available both in stores and on line. Note: next summer purchase one which has a cover so I don't have to empty it out each time we want to use it.

  2. D0 not keep the temp in the house at 72 because once that bill comes in the mail you will pass out from the amount of money that you owe for the air conditioning. Try setting it at 76 even if mom protests that it is hot. We just can't afford a $600 a month bill!

  3. Get a season pass for Great Adventure early so you pay less and always pay the additional $5 for preferred parking so you can park right up front near the entrence. Pack a lunch so it doesn't cost an arm and a leg while you are there for food that really stinks.
After all I have learned, I am so looking forward to the fall. Cooler weather means we can be out doors more and use our swing set which we weren't able to use because of the brutal heat in the summer. Okay we do have to wear jackets but that's better than sweating our butts off.

LOL!!! Thats great! You learned some good stuff! Our water park won't allow outside food so we learned to smuggle goldfish crackers and sodas in by wrapping them in towels(shhhh!).

I had a great flashback to raising my own 3. We didn't do the waterpark thing, but there were some local zoos and parks that sold overpriced food also. I know my kids preferred mom's "home-cooked" picnics. The pool thing made me smile.

It is much easier to add on clothes when you are cold. When it is hot and you take off everything, you can't get more naked than naked!
