Blog Award

I've been feeling a bit down lately and trying to change my attitude about my life and it was a bit of a surprise to receive this award from my friend Lori today, thank you. You can visit her blog here.

Lots of changes are happening in my life hopefully for the better but, of course, some changes I accept willingly and some I am not accepting.

Accepting:
Finances: We have been struggling living paycheck to paycheck. We have just finished a refinance debt consolidation so we hope that in the future it will help stop some of our unnecessary stress. This past month has been a bit of a whirlwind with credit cards asking for more money even after we paid them off. Funds that we just did not have. We hope that once we get all settled that we will be able to start saving again.

Marriage: I'm trying to reconnect with my husband. Since the kids have been born we have been a bit distant from each other. I am determined to get our love life back on track. We really need to get a baby sitter too so we can go out and reconnect again. Hopefully once we have extra money we can do that again.

My House: I really need to get my house in order. I decided to join flylady again. This is only my 2nd week. I have been trying to do baby steps in cleaning and getting my house decluttered. My main goal is to clean out my craft room and make room for the kids to have a workspace and we can enjoy my craft room more.

Not Accepting:
MOMs Club. I have been a member for over 2 years. It literally has saved my life and my kids lives. I have made tons of new friends and have done so much with the club. I even run their newsletter and am currently on the board. However, since our club has grown to over 70 members the Corporate headquarters is forcing us to split our club in half. What does that mean? Well, in the next month or so I will have to choose which club I want to belong to. How can you choose which friends to hang out with? Do I stay in my own area and make new friends or do I cross the line and join the in-crowd? It's been a major struggle for me for the past couple of nights I have not been sleeping.

I went through almost the same thing with MOMS Club, my advice is go with your friends not the new boundaries. Your kids are going to start regular school soon enough and you'll find your time for kid MOMS Club activities drops while you are still doing the mom's night out.

I was in MOMS Club for 2 years after our split and it's been 2 years since I quit, but our playgroup still gets together weekly and we still do a girls night out.

Can you be part of one group on paper but be a part of both groups in person? I am a member of a professional organization but I had to join the chapter that was closest to where I lived. Yet, I needed to connect with the people that were in the county where I worked. I ended up going to both but was a member of the first one (on paper).
