Guest CT - Gabs-Art
For the month of August I am a guest CT for Gabs-Art. I just love her designs so I'm honored when she asked me to make pages for her. The first kit I am working with is Your Miles - the bundle. This was a perfect kit for my niece's birthday pages.

CT - Vonnie's Digiworld & Shopping Project 365
Another kit I am working with is called Lady Bug Garden by Vonnie's Digiworld. Right now it is part of the August Grab Bag at Scrappity Doo-Dah.
here is a layout I did using Lady Bug Garden.
SHOPPING
I got my rebate from ebates for the past 3 months. Whenever I shop on line I use ebates so I get back a check every 3 months just for going to their website first before shopping. Really cool. So while I was posting my layout to the various websites I came across a Project 365 grab bag over at ScrapMatters. I just had to pick it up since I am always on the look out for Project 365 kits. This is what I picked up free using my ebates rebate. If you want to join ebates please click on my link that I provided above.

Shopping at SDD
I earned $5 for participating in the challenges over at Scrappity Doo-Dah for the month of July.
Look at what I got. This adorable kit called EIEIO by Digilicious Designs and it is on sale for $1.
I am starting to work on more layouts about me so I found these great journaling tags.
Journal Junkie Pack 8 by Digilicious for $2.10. She has quite a few to choose from. I wound up getting this one because I could add my own journaling and went with the pink because I could use it on my daughters pages too.
and Messy Paper Word Bubbles by Kris Myers Designs for $1.79

CT - Deco Pages & Week 3 Challenge
This month I am working with this beautiful kit named Brown Eyed Susan by Jen Hanson. It can be found at Deco-Pages and right now it's on sale for $3.
Remember I am participating in the Season 3 Winter challenges over at Little Scrapbook Shop. Right now we are on week 3. The challenge this week is to use one or more lines from The Doors song Wintertime Love. Here's the lyrics...
Wintertime winds blow cold the season
Fallen in love, I'm hopin' to be
Wind is so cold, is that the reason?
Keeping you warm, your hands touching me
Come with me dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
You are so warm
My wintertime love to be
Winter time winds blue and freezin'
Comin' from northern storms in the sea
Love has been lost, is that the reason?
Trying desperately to be free
Come with me dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
And you are so warm
My wintertime love to be
La, la, la, la
Come with me dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
You are so warm
My wintertime love to be

Challenges/Shopping/Freebie
It's another month. What does that mean in the digital world? Well, it means tons of blog trains, new daily downloads, lots of shopping from participating in challenges in July, new CT kits and new challenges. My head is spinning by the amount of stuff that is being thrown my way. My hard drive is filling up fast. Also means lots of unzipping and organizing.
Shopping:
I earned $4 at Scrapbook Bytes for participating in their challenges in July. So I did some shopping. I got these 2 beautiful kits by Lorie M. Designs.
Beautiful In My Eyes $2
and Simplicity of Life $2
Challenges:
I so love to participate in challenges. It really gets me going especially if I am having difficulty coming up with an idea. Take a look at this color challenge over at Digi Scrap Obsession. My girls just love the color pink so I had to play in this challenge. For participating you receive this beautiful kit by Kimbs Designs.
Here's my layout that I did using the above colors for the challenge.

Request: I am in charge of a camping/rock concert venue. We are a group of 'old hippies' who have had a biyearly reunion since the vets came back from Vietnam.
